"Listen to Beirut through the words of its writers"

The idea grew and the project has made its way to the release an audio book. In this book are recorded texts in prose and verse, writers and poets Lebanese and foreigners, among them include Niza Qabbani (Syria), Souad Soubbah (Kuwait), Mansour Rahbani, Andree Chedid (Lebanon) Mahmoud Darwish (Palestine) ...
Together they have given the words and notes in perfect harmony for a listen filled with emotions.
As part of the activities of Beirut World Book Capital, in partnership with the Ministry of Culture, the Society of Authors, Composers and Music Publishers of Lebanon, media representatives were invited at its premises in Furn el Chebbak for the launch of the first audio book in Beirut, directed by poet Henry Zgheib Douraki and Danae, the musical conception is signed Wajdi Chayya.
A large number of cultural and media personalities were present to greet the event. The poet emphasized the importance of this groundbreaking project in recalling the special place the Lebanese capital occupies. This opinion was shared by the union president of the press Baalbaki Mr. Muhammad, who did not hesitate to recall the glorious past of Beirut.
To close the ceremony, Mr. Tammam Salam, Minister of Culture, said the work "embodies a unique cultural atmosphere," and that "this audio book is the meeting point of different generations."
The audio book has been distributed to all present members.
